Search the Library catalog <Louisville/Boulder/Broomfield> and find the item you want. |

Don't stop at a list of titles. Be sure to go to the full record—the screen with the box showing the LOCATION, CALL NUMBER, and STATUS for that item. |

Click on the Request A Hold button (to the right of the entry). |

4. |
In the boxes provided, enter your name and your Louisville Public Library card number (Example: D050123456). Then click on the Submit button. |

The message, "Your request for ... was successful," confirms that this item is on Hold for you. |
| |
6. |
By using your Louisville Library card, all items will be sent to the Louisville Library and you will be notified when the item is ready for pick-up. |

7. |
As of July, 2010: An item placed on hold that is not picked up during the hold period will be assessed a $1.00 fee. |
