The Library appreciates and gladly accepts book donations. Based on resource and space limitations, we are able to accept the following:

Up to two boxes of Adult, Young Adult, and Children’s:

• Fiction (no more than five years old)
• Non-fiction (no more than five years old)

If you are interested in making a large donation (more than two boxes of books) please contact us to make arrangements.

We are unable to accept the following, due to space and resource limitations, as well as demand for these items:

• books on CD
• music CDs
• DVDs
• videocassettes
• audio cassettes
• text books
• magazines
• puzzles and board games
• technology books older than three years

Please bring your donations to the Circulation Desk in the Lobby. You will receive our thanks and a tax receipt for your donation.

Donated materials are considered gifts and become the property of the Louisville Public Library Foundation.
