Join our Teen Summer Squad! - 2025 Applications Closed 

Squad Goals:

• Get kids excited about reading and the library!
• Provide friendly customer service for the library’s Summer Reading Program.
• Assist with various tasks around the Children’s area such as straightening, cleaning, and prepping crafts.
• Earn volunteer hours.
• Have fun, meet other teens, and make a difference in your community.

Qualifications:

Teens age 13-17 may apply. Must be able to follow directions and interact with patrons of all ages in a friendly and professional manner.

How to apply: 

STEP 1) Fill out the Teen Summer Squad application.

STEP 2) Fill out a City volunteer application. BOTH a Squad application and a City application are required. If you’ve previously turned in a City application you may not need to do another one. Email children’s reference@louisvilleco.gov to find out.

STEP 3) Complete both applications before the deadline. Applications are due May 2.

STEP 4) All new Squad members are required to attend one of the trainings listed in the application.
