The Program
The library runs a free volunteer-based tutoring program for students in grades 6-12. We match tutors and students based on availability and subject area expertise. When a suitable tutor has been found, the tutor will contact the student/parent to coordinate a one hour meeting once per week for the duration of the semester.
Obtaining a tutor is not guaranteed. Matches are made on a first-come, first-served basis and depend upon tutor availability.
Policies
- Unexcused Absences: Please contact the library in a timely manner if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. If a student has two unexcused absences, they risk losing their place in the program.
- Tardiness: Please contact the library if you are running late. Arriving 15+ minutes late without contacting us will be considered an unexcused absence.
- Preparedness: Students are expected to arrive prepared with all the materials they’ll need and with a clear intent for the day’s session.
The tutoring program is currently full. Please check back next semester for potential openings.
